SMS Opt-In Workflow
Effective date: March 12, 2026
This page documents the exact SMS opt-in method used by SSDiamondGroup. Opt-in is collected through a web checkbox during phone account signup.
Opt-In Method
Method: Web form checkbox.
Users opt in by selecting a required checkbox on the phone signup form before requesting an SMS verification code.
The checkbox disclosure states that users agree to receive SMS verification codes for account security and authentication, and includes STOP/HELP and message-rate language.
Step-by-Step Workflow
- User navigates to the phone signup page at /auth/signup-choice?method=phone.
- User enters their US phone number.
- User creates a password.
- User checks the required SMS consent checkbox (see mock-up below).
- User clicks "Send Verification Code" — this button is disabled until the checkbox is checked.
- User receives SMS OTP and enters the code to verify phone ownership.
- Account is created and user is directed to the platform.
